Curriculum vitae
Dr. med. Thomas Weimann studied human medicine at the Philipps University of Marburg with stays in Wales and at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Doctorate under Prof. S. Bien at the Institute of Neuroradiology at the Philipps University of Marburg. This was followed by employment at the ENT Clinic of the Hanover Nordstadt Clinic under Prof. Dr. Dr. Welkoborsky until 2002.
Further training as a specialist in diagnostic radiology with Prof. Dr. J. Freyschmidt and Prof. Dr. Terwey at the Klinikum Bremen Mitte and from 2006 at the Vivantes Klinikum Berlin-Neukölln. In 2008, he was appointed senior consultant and deputy to the new head physician Dr. J. Seemann (†) at Werner Forßmann Klinikum Eberswalde, an academic teaching hospital of Charité Berlin. The Department of Radiology and Neuroradiology became one of the largest radiology departments between Berlin and Greifswald, specializing in vascular malformations, polytrauma care and interventional stroke therapy. Dr. Weimann focused on CT and MRI imaging of the head and neck region, joints and tumor diseases, the training of junior doctors, angiographic diagnostics and therapy of all vascular provinces and CT intervention.
For one year, he was in charge of setting up the newly founded CT department with the training of MTRAs at the Schlosspark-Klinik in Berlin-Charlottenburg. He introduced pain therapy interventions and CT-guided tissue removal as a method and, as part of the team, accompanied the certification of the new stroke unit at Schlosspark-Klinik.
Dr. Weimann has been working in the group practice at the Beta Klinik since 2014. He is a certified specialist in neuroradiology. He is a member and Q2-certified MR prostatography expert of the German Radiological Society.
He is a father, beekeeper and passionate musician as a member of the Gesellschaft für Alte Musik Köln e.V. (Cologne Early Music Society).
