After extensive training in general and trauma surgery in Unna and in orthopaedics in Dortmund, he passed the examination to become a specialist in orthopaedics in 2000.

After setting up in Cologne in 2001, he continued to focus on the conservative and surgical treatment of osteoarthritis and pediatric orthopaedics.

From 2005 to 2012, for example, he was head surgeon for endoprosthetics on hip and knee joints at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Köln-Kalk.

In 2013, Peter Braun joined the Beta Klinik as a partner and has since been responsible for the field of hip joint endoprosthetics and knee joint endoprosthetics as well as the comprehensive conservative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Peter Braun has also always been committed to sport. As a member of the German Handball Federation squad, he was himself in the Bundeswehr’s sports promotion group and has been a member of the German Fencing Federation’s medical commission and doctor to the national fencing team since 2008.
